How we make money
Carwow.ie operates a matched-quote service. When you submit the enquiry form on this site, we forward your brief to two or three Irish dealers whose stock and pricing fit your specification. We charge those dealers a flat referral fee per enquiry — not a percentage of the sale.
The flat-fee structure is deliberate: it removes our financial incentive to push you toward a more expensive car or a more expensive dealer. We earn the same fee on a €15,000 used Hyundai Ioniq as on a €65,000 Audi Q8 e-tron.
We do not charge buyers anything. We do not place display advertising. We do not run sponsored content disguised as editorial. We do not place affiliate links to carwow.co.uk or any other vehicle-comparison or marketplace site.
Editorial independence
Editorial decisions on what to publish, what to recommend, and what to flag as a trade-off are made by Carwow.ie alone. No manufacturer, dealer group, or service partner has ever paid us for placement, and no manufacturer, dealer group, or service partner has the right to review or approve our content before publication.
If we change any of these policies in future, we'll publish the change here before it takes effect, and date the policy version below.
Affiliate links
Carwow.ie does not currently use any affiliate links to comparison sites, marketplaces, or retailers. The "external" links you'll see in our content (to seai.ie, revenue.ie, motortax.ie, charging-network operators) are unmonetised regulatory or operational references.
If we adopt affiliate links in future for any product or service, they will be marked clearly with "(affiliate)" and the affiliate relationship explained in this section.
