We compare current Irish order prices, battery/range options, footprint, family use, charging and dealer quote transparency. Manufacturer WLTP and charge-time figures are comparative laboratory claims.

Elroq case
Pick the Elroq if its smaller footprint still passes your rear-seat and boot test. The current Irish page says the largest-battery version can charge at up to 175 kW and cites a 10–80% time of 28 minutes, but actual speed depends on conditions.
ID.4 case
Pick the ID.4 if you need the larger body, find the better local dealer/stock option, or want the 52 kWh entry route. Its current Irish configurator lists 52 and 77 kWh choices.
Before ordering
Put the same deposit, term, annual kilometres and final payment into both quotes. Check delivery, paint, charger offer and grant eligibility separately. The M1 grant price cap changes to €50,000 from 1 August 2026, so options can alter the result.
